The Change In NHL Games For Xbox & Playstation Game Consoles

When people look back at their youth it's often through rose tinted spectacles and everything seems like it was much better back then. The food you ate had more taste and the days never seems to end. These days there is not much that you can put your finger on and say that it is definitely better now. That is apart from NHL games for Xbox & Playstation game consoles.

You no longer have to push a white dot which is supposed to be your puck around the screen. You also no longer have to control featureless white matchstick men around a rink either. You do on the other hand still have to play the game for enjoyment.

The problem that has prevailed over the years is that while the ability of computer graphic artists and programmers increased, the consoles were behind. Now though, we are at a stage where the technology has gone so far that our ability to use it is lagging behind. But it matters little about which is better, graphics or game play, the game player of today wants it all. Some of the best games in history were never that good looking but you just had to go back for more. One of the most famous video games ever was built around a ball dodging assailants in a maze and eating other balls on the way. Another very famous title which is still around today was just based on falling blocks that had to be arranged as they dropped. OK so there have been games that have been very successful without the great looks of today's big titles. These have been successful due to the intelligence of the games's inventor. They have known what a player wants and it might not always be a complete NHL league line up with all the stats to go with it. But I bet all that up to date information helped a lot when the players were choosing their best line up to compete against a friend.

So with all the information, the game play and the good presentation in today's NHL titles, it's no surprise that they are as popular as a child with sweets in a playground. Like all games consoles and the sports titles that go with them, the hockey titles have progressed a great deal. It's the clever people who make the games that have made sports games of today such as hockey, look good and still keep the game play of the games of old. They realized a long time ago that your couldn't just paint a pretty picture on the screen, you had to actually let the player live it too. They now know that there is no point in releasing a game on to the market that is not up to speed. Especially not when the game in question is carrying the NHL brand.

It's lucky then that we are time a time when the advances in technology have made as privy to the world through different eyes. NHL games for Xbox & Playstation game consoles are no so realistic that there are eve television shows that carry earl life live events where two gamers take each other on. Sure enough the industry has evolved and it is probably taking us with it.

Playstation Football Games Are For Everyone

When Madden footballs games were in their early stated many considered them to be a failure when held against the original vision. This had much to do with the limits placed on that vision as a result of the fact that there was simply not enough computer power in the average home system to bring the game to life in the way the original vision called for. Of course, 20 years later, 85 million games sold and profits that to 3 billion have proved it to be an extreme success. It now boasts real football player names and statistics, professional plays and exceptional graphics. These are a few of the many reasons why it has become quite possibly the more popular of the playstation football games.

It is no secret that Madden was not the original namesake for the game. The designers had reached out to a few other high profile players and even some other coaches, but none were able to participate due to other agreements or a simple lack of interest. Madden came on board and educated the designers, and ironically, it is the game and not his professional career as a coach and announcer that has brought him the most recognition.

The game has evolved over the years and adds new features to each new release. Franchise mode was added to the game in almost a decade after it's creation. This allowed players to do more than just control the players. They could actually manage the rosters by trading and drafting players for their virtual teams. This was already being done with some baseball games available at the time but was a first for any football offering. More game modes were brought to the user with the release of the 2003 version. Of course a player could start the game and choose to simply play a single game, only now they had the options to play an entire season and even multiple seasons. It was in this version that online play was first offered, initially exclusive to uses of the playstation 2 console.

A new feature called the playmaker tool was included in the 2004 version. This was a feature that enhanced the realism of the game considerably. Players could now make changes to the direction of plays after they broke the huddle. Previously they were limited to 4 audibles, but now they could be more flexible and could send receivers on hot routes too.

The playmaker tool was made more robust in the next version released in 2005. In the previous release, this feature was only available for the offense, and that put players on defense at a decided disadvantage. With the addition of this feature on defense, the playing field become level again, and as with the 2004 version, game play become even more realistic.

Versions that have been released in the last years have contained other unique aspects of play like the trick stick, control of lead blockers on running play calls, and a weapons control used with superstar players. Even league play is now possible, giving up to 32 people the opportunity to play an entire season from a single console or through the internet.

Playstation football games have dominated pc and console football games for more than 2 decades, and the vision for the future promises even more innovation. Playstation 3 Madden football games promise a unique experience, whether you are playing against the computer or a friend, either using the same console or across the internet.

Video Game Madden Tournaments Be Treated Like A Rock Star

Imagine a crowd forming around and chanting you name. People are screaming in joy and there are high fives going all around. No this is not a concert that you are the star of but one of the many Video game madden tournaments that are held all across the country each and every year.

There is little doubt that these tournaments are designed to determine the best of the best and separate the rookies from those that eat, drink and sleep this game. These are the people that have their copy the second that it is able to be purchased and will spend days in a row trying to become the best of the best with the game. Things have become so popular, that many times there are film crews from a popular sports network to film these and turn them into specials to air. The people that compete in these are household names that are able to be recognized by the faithful that have devoted their life to the franchise. Every player thinks they have what is needed in order to sink their opponents in the game. In fact several of these players will fork over a lot of money in order to enter big tournaments to show that they are the better player of the game. This is what separates the men from the boys in a lot of these tournaments. There is little doubt that these tournaments are held to see who can out run or out pass their opponents. While the game has evolved quite a bit in the few years the passion for people playing has not died and has increased by a lot in the past few years.

There is a great amount of strategy that goes into forming a play against another opponent that you have no idea is going to run on you. This makes things a lot more difficult and means that you need to adjust on the fly in such a circumstance. These tournaments allow a person to see and feel what it is like to be an actual coach. They are having to second guess their opponents and hope that they have the best game plan in place.

When it is all said and done, there can only be one true winner, the player that is able to out move and outwit their opponents will be rewarded with the game console and if it is a national event a trip to the next round of playoffs. This is where things become tougher and the stakes are higher. Maybe it is the thrill of playing as your favorite player, or the draw of knowing that you are the best at something. Whatever the reason for the popularity, there seems to be no end in sight for this franchise and for the fans that love the game. The next time that you see an advertisement for Video game madden tournaments, remember that somewhere there is a player that is training to have the right to be called champion and working towards the ultimate goal of being the best in the world.
